Daniela Karrer

Daniela Karrer is VP, Operations and Clinical Affairs at Donawa Lifescience (DL), where she has managed the company’s Clinical Research Organization (CRO) services since 2008 for medical device and in vitro diagnostic (IVD) studies conducted in Europe and North America. With DL, she has developed the company’s clinical affairs department into an internationally recognized service that supports medical device and IVD companies worldwide, and was instrumental in the company’s obtaining its QMS certification. Daniela specializes in clinical study strategy, clinical study design and medical writing and developing clinical investigation/performance study protocols and clinical study reports. Prior to joining DL, Daniela worked within the Italian health service, followed by 7 years with the Serono Group as a research scientist. She then worked for 9 years with Covance, one of the world’s largest CRO’s where she served as a clinical research associate, followed by a series of management roles, including Director, Project Management, Head of the Covance Italian Office, and Director of Clinical Operations for Southern Europe, including Italy, Spain, Portugal, France, Switzerland and Israel. Daniela has a Master’s Degree in biological sciences from Rome University in Italy.
